Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters discovered moderate smoke emanating from the residence.

Fortunately, the occupants, identified as Carolyn and James Cross, had already evacuated the premises and were safe.

A swift and coordinated response followed, with five fire apparatus from the Bucyrus Fire Department and one additional unit from Holmes Township arriving at the scene to address the emergency.

Additionally, the Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance to the displaced occupants.

Preliminary investigations into the incident suggest that the fire’s origin may be related to an electrical issue within the home. The exact cause and extent of the damage are still under investigation by authorities.
