BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Bucyrus City Council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 500 S. Sandusky Ave. The hearing will address several proposed zoning changes and new ordinances.
The Platting Committee will consider the following items:
- The proposed zoning reclassification of 316 & 320 Woodlawn Ave. (prospective parcel ID# 080065052000) from Apartment Residential (AR) to Urban Neighborhood Residential (R3) to allow for the potential expansion of a church property.
- The proposed establishment of Bucyrus Codified Ordinance (BCO) 1187.021, which pertains to ponds.
- The proposed establishment of Bucyrus Codified Ordinance (BCO) 1193.01, regulating solar panel use in the city.
- The proposed amendments to Bucyrus Codified Ordinance (BCO) 1189.03, which aim to clarify the general surfacing requirements for off-street parking and loading areas.
Residents may express their opinions on these proposed changes. They can do so by attending the public hearing on February 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., where they will have the opportunity to present their views. Alternatively, residents may submit a letter addressed to Mike Keefe, Zoning Administrator, City of Bucyrus, 500 S. Sandusky Ave., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820. Letters must be received prior to the public hearing to be entered into the official record.
