BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Miranda Wise, the Clerk of Bucyrus City Council, submitted her resignation letter on Monday.
In her letter, Wise announced that her resignation will take effect two weeks from the date of submission, with her final day in the office scheduled for Friday, July 25, 2025.

Council President Kurt Fankhauser told Crawford County Now:
“It is sad to see Miranda leave the Bucyrus City Council but she has to do what is best for her. She did a really good job as Council Clerk and I enjoyed her working for the City during my time as President. I wish her luck on whatever path she chooses for her future endeavors.”—Kurt Fankhauser, Bucyrus City Council President
Bucyrus City Law Director issued the following statement:
“It is a damned shame that the coordinated attack on our city, which is orchestrated by our Council President and his band of rascals, has driven off not just another Council Clerk, but the best Council Clerk this city has seen in decades.”—Brandon Gobrecht Bucyrus City Law Director
