BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Bucyrus City Council has reappointed a well-known figure to the Council Clerk’s Office, bringing back Kelli Patterson-Tussey.
This decision was made during a special meeting held on September 4, where the Council officially confirmed her appointment.

Patterson-Tussey has a rich history with the Bucyrus City Government, having previously served as Council Clerk from 2014 to 2017, after being trained by long-time Council Clerk Regina Zorns in late 2013. Following her tenure as Clerk, she took on the role of Administrative Assistant to former Mayor Jeff Reser, furthering her commitment to the city.

Her return comes at a pivotal moment as Bucyrus gears up for the 2026 Council term, which is anticipated to bring several new members to the Council.
With over a decade of governmental experience, Patterson-Tussey’s institutional knowledge is expected to deliver much-needed stability and continuity during this transitional phase.

Council President Kurt Fankhauser expressed his enthusiasm for Patterson-Tussey’s return, highlighting her extensive experience and readiness to serve. “We’re glad to have Kelli back serving the City of Bucyrus. She is already well-versed in Ohio Public Records Laws, is familiar with the Ohio Municipal League, and has previously completed a variety of trainings that are incredibly valuable to the city at this time.” Fankhauser said.

Patterson-Tussey officially commenced her duties on September 8, 2025, and is set to play a crucial role in the upcoming regular council meeting scheduled for September 16, 2025.
