BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The 2024 Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival is just around the corner, and excitement is in the air as our community gears up for three days of fun, food, and festivities. This year’s festival, brought to you by our Platinum and title sponsor, Eagle Crusher, promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Special Performances and Community Spirit
This year’s festival features an impressive lineup of bands and performers, including Wayne Golob, Iconic Vibe, Julia Neville, and the Wet Bandits. The music, combined with a variety of fun contests and activities like the cheerleading contest, various eating contests, the pretty baby contest, and the always popular parades, ensures there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Craft Show and Art Show
The craft show will be in the City Hall North Parking Lot and City Hall Patio. It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore unique handmade items from local artisans. Inside City Hall, the Crawford County Arts Council will be running the art show, showcasing the talents of local artists.
5K Color Run/Walk
Start your Saturday morning with a burst of color at the 2024 Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival 5K Color Run/Walk. This vibrant event will take place at Bucyrus High School, located at 900 W. Perry St., Bucyrus, OH 44820. The run/walk begins at 9:00 AM on Saturday, August 17th. It’s a wonderful way to get active and have fun with friends and family.
Beer Garden Returns
The festival announced the return of the Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival Beer Garden for its second year. This addition was a hit last year, and they’re excited to bring it back for festivalgoers to enjoy. It’s the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a cold drink, and soak in the festive atmosphere.
Leadership and Dedication
The festival would like to take a moment to acknowledge the transition in leadership. Kevin Myers has stepped down as Director. Stepping up to the plate, Larry West, along with our dedicated volunteers, worked tirelessly to ensure this year’s festival is nothing short of amazing. Their commitment and hard work are evident in every aspect of the event.
Not the Last Festival
Amidst recent debates, the Bratwurst Festival wants to reassure everyone that the Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival is here to stay. The discussions with the city were solely about discontinuing free trash pick-up services, not about ending the festival. Our community’s beloved tradition continues, and we look forward to many more years of celebrating together.
Join everyone at the Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival, August 15th -17th for a weekend filled with joy, laughter, and a strong sense of community. See you there!
