Press release
The Bucyrus Secondary School will host the annual Redmen Reunion Friday, May. 19. The event, which will be held in the high school library, is open to all Bucyrus seniors who submitted at least one college application.
“Mrs. Margaret Thornton started the Redmen Reunion over 20 years ago when she first came to Bucyrus High School as the senior English Teacher,” said Secondary School Principal Dr. Mark Burke. “The purpose is to bring Bucyrus alumni back who are college freshmen to share experiences and advice with our college-bound seniors, and for us as a school system to learn how well we are preparing our students for college.”
This program is just one of many being held to help students prepare for careers or college after high school. Other programs will be started in the future to further expand the Secondary School’s mission of ensuring all students are ready for the next steps in their lives after high school.
Refreshments will be provided, and each college freshman will receive a small gift for their participation. Those with questions can contact Dr. Mark Burke at 419-562-7721 or email mburke@bucyrusschools.org.
