BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The City of Bucyrus has announced the official relaunch of its Access Channel, providing residents with local content and enhancing communication between city officials and the public.

The Access Channel, available on Spectrum Channel 1021, is designed to keep Bucyrus residents informed and engaged through live and recent programming. This includes city council meetings, public service announcements, and exclusive content produced for the community.

“We are thrilled to bring this updated service to the people of Bucyrus,” said Mayor Bruce Truka. “The Access Channel will help us bridge the gap between local government and the community, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to stay informed about what’s happening in our city. It’s an exciting step toward fostering a more connected and engaged Bucyrus.”

The relaunch was spearheaded by Telecommunications Director Bonnie Welsh. Key features of the Bucyrus Access Channel include:

  • Live Broadcasts: Residents can watch city council meetings in real-time. Those without Spectrum access can view recordings on YouTube the following day.
  • Public Announcements: The channel will provide updates on important city news, service changes, and community resources.

Starting March 20, 2025, the City of Bucyrus will exclusively stream all council meetings on the Access Channel. Meetings will also be added to the regular programming schedule for later viewing.
