BUCYRUS — William W. Butler of Bucyrus was arraigned on Monday in Crawford County Common Pleas Court. Butler who currently faces three felony counts was indicted on two more counts of rape.
In all Butler, 62, faces three counts of rape, all first-degree felonies, each punishable with up to 11 years in prison, one count of unlawful sexual contact with a minor, a third-degree felony punishable by up to 36 months in prison and one count of gross sexual imposition a fourth-degree felony punishable by 18 months in prison.
Butler remains in the custody of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department.
In other arraignments, Robert Byrne Jr., 32, of Tiro is charged with one count of having weapons under disability, a third-degree felony punishable by up to 36 months in prison, one count of burglary, a second-degree felony punishable with up to eight years in prison, theft, a third-degree felony punishable with up to 36 years in prison, theft, a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison and one charge of breaking and entering a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison. Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold set bond for Byrne at $100,00. Attorney Brad Starkey was appointed to represent Byrne.
Johnathon Solas, 31 of Woodbine, Georgia was arraigned on 28 felony charges. Solas is accused of one count of burglary, a second-degree felony punishable with up to eight years in prison and 27 counts of theft each a third-degree felony and each punishable with up to 36 months in prison. Attorney Sebastian Berger was appointed to represent Solas. Bond was set at $100,000.
Krista Lucas, 46, of Bucyrus was charged with violating the terms and conditions of her community control. Lucas was placed on community control in January after she pleaded guilty to possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison, and misdemeanor charges of possessing drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia. According to allegations, on April 17, Lucas tested positive for meth and admitted to using meth.
Attorney Tani Eyer was appointed to represent Lucas and bond was set at $75,000.
