GALION—A Crawford County man was arrested yesterday for possession of child sexual abuse material following a search warrant executed by the Ohio Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
Chet Cobb, 44, of Galion, was charged with two counts of pandering obscenity, a fourth-degree felony. He is being held in the Crawford County jail on a $175,000 bond.
During the early morning hours of May 18, a search warrant was executed by BCI’s Special Victims Unit and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office at Cobb’s residence at 1280 North Market St. in Galion.
The investigation remains ongoing as additional charges are anticipated.
Cobb is employed as a Bus Driver for the Buckeye Central School District.
Crawford County Now reached out to Buckeye Central Schools Superintendent Mark Robinson.
Robinson said Cobb has been placed on paid administrative leave while the investigation continues and is banned from all school properties. Parents and staff received the following email earlier today.
