GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Galion History Center is set to bring the holiday spirit to life with a series of festive events at the historic Brownella Cottage throughout December.
The holiday season will kick off with a free Holiday Open House at Brownella Cottage during the Come Home to Galion community festival. The event will take place from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2.
Following the open house, the Cottage will open its doors for the Brownella Lights holiday tours on Wednesday, December 6 and Thursday, December 7 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to take a self-guided tour of the beautifully lit Brownella Cottage, which will feature a tree in every room. Admission for this event is by donation only.
The Galion History Center will also host the Brownella Cottage Holiday Cookie & Wine Pairing Tours on Friday, December 15 at 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00 p.m. Guests will embark on a self-guided tour of the Cottage, discovering four holiday cookie and wine pairing stations along the way, featuring Cake & Icing Bakery and Fox Winery. Each visitor will receive a commemorative Galion History Center wine glass. Tickets for this event are $25 per person and can be purchased through the Galion History Center website at galionhistory.com. Tickets will be available starting Friday, November 17 at 10:00 a.m.
