Campers are being pulled, livestock animals are being groomed daily, and the temperature is climbing steadily, all signs pointing to the fact that it’s time for the Crawford County Fair.

The 160th Crawford County Fair  kicks off July 16. The theme of the fair this year, chosen by those involved in the Junior Fair is entitled: Bright Lights, Big Cities. With a big line-up of events, each day will be filled with plenty of entertainment.

The big event set for Sunday is the Demolition Derby to be held in the Grandstand at 6 p.m. On Monday, there will be a Calf Scramble at 7 p.m. Eric Sowers Band and Kari Holmes will be holding a free concert in the Grandstand on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Harness Racing will be taking place on Wednesday and Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m.  The State-Sanctioned Truck/Tractor Pull will be held Friday evening at 7 p.m. in the Grandstand.

Each day will also be filled with many Jr. Fair shows and happenings. The beginning of the animal shows starts with the Alpaca show on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. The Jr. Fair Royalty will be crowned during the Jr. Fair Royalty Contest Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

With many crowd-appealing events, hopes are high that the 160th Crawford County Fair will bring about many lasting smiles and memories.
