The Bratwurst Festival is all about showcasing the area’s German heritage, but this year there will be something special for families.
The Bratwurst Festival Committee has set up a Family Fun Zone area in the Family Video parking lot. For three days, families will be able to enjoy crafts, games, and other special events. Here is the complete schedule for the Family Fun Zone:
Thursday
2 – 3 p.m. Arts and Crafts
3 – 5 p.m. Water Balloon Toss
6 – 7 p.m. Josh Dyer from the Crawford Park District
8 – 9 p.m. Arts and Crafts
Friday
Noon – 9 p.m. Petting Zoo
1 – 3 p.m. Arts and Crafts
3 – 4 p.m. Water Balloon Toss
4 – 6 p.m. Mini Tractor Pull
8 – 9 p.m. Karaoke with DJ Steer Clear
Saturday
11 a.m. – 12 p.m. ZUMBA
12 p.m. Mini Moto Race
Noon – 9 p.m. Rock Wall Climbing and Bouncy Slide
1 p.m. Hoop Shoot Contest
2 – 3 p.m. Arts and Crafts
3 – 4 p.m. Water Balloon Toss
6 – 7 p.m. Arts and Crafts
7 – 9 p.m. Karaoke with DJ Steer Clear
There will also be Hillbilly Golf, Giant Jenga, and Corn Hole in the parking lot and DJ Steer Clear will be in the parking lot for all three days. The Bucyrus Public Library will also have a booth in the parking lot and will feature activities to do and take home, a button and badge maker, a Pokemon Go recharge station, and books to read or volunteers to read to you.
The Bratwurst Festival will take place Aug. 18 – 20 in downtown Bucyrus. Opening ceremonies being at noon on Aug. 18 at the AEP Energy Stage. The festival is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day. A full list of stage entertainment can be found here.
