BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Bratwurst Festival Inc. is proud to unveil the theme for the 2025 festival: “Brattie Supports Our Educators, the Heart of Our Community.” This theme reflects the festival’s commitment to celebrating the dedication and impact of educators who shape the future of our community.

In addition to announcing this inspiring theme, the Bratwurst Festival is thrilled to introduce Doug Foght as the new Festival Director. A long-time supporter and active volunteer within the festival, Doug brings years of experience and passion for community events to his new role.
“I am deeply honored to continue my grandfather Boyd Long’s legacy with the Bratwurst Festival,” said Doug Foght. “This festival has been a cornerstone of our community, and I am committed to honoring our traditions while embracing new opportunities to celebrate and unite Bucyrus.”
Doug succeeds Larry West, who stepped up in 2024 to help ensure the festival’s success during a transitional period. The Board extends its gratitude to Larry for his hard work and leadership, which contributed to one of the most successful festivals to date.
Exciting Upgrades for 2025
The 2025 festival will feature several upgrades aimed at enhancing the experience for vendors, sponsors, and attendees:
- Streamlined Online Vendor Payments and Updates: The festival is introducing a new online platform that will allow vendors to easily register and submit payments. This system will simplify the process for participants and help ensure timely communication and updates.
- Enhanced Sponsorship Opportunities: The Bratwurst Festival is rolling out improved sponsorship packages with added benefits and visibility for sponsors. These upgrades are designed to better recognize and promote the businesses and organizations that help make the festival possible.
