MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)– Destination Mansfield – Richland County and the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development have launched a new, countywide Community Calendar at BrandRichland.com/Events, fulfilling a key goal of the 2019 Mansfield Rising plan.
The new platform serves as a single, trusted source for public events across Richland County, making it easier for both residents and visitors to discover local activities.
The calendar is powered by Yodel’s AI technology, which automatically gathers event information from the websites and Facebook pages of trusted local organizations. This eliminates the need for manual submissions and standardizes key details like date, location and ticket links into one searchable format.
“It is as if Yodel read the Mansfield Rising Plan, which was created in 2019,” said Allie Watson, Richland County Foundation President & CEO. “The plan said a healthy and bustling downtown begins with awareness. With the Yodel software, the community will be able to easily coordinate and promote events downtown and throughout the county.”
Funding for the Yodel deployment was provided by Destination Mansfield – Richland County. Lee Tasseff, President of Destination Mansfield-Richland County, noted that establishing a community-wide calendar was identified as one of the core Mansfield Rising projects to bring to life.
“Yodel’s AI platform has the potential to live up to the ideal of what a true community calendar can be,” Tasseff said. “The decision to acquire it was a fulfillment of that promise we were happy to make.”
The calendar allows event organizers to continue posting on their own pages, with the Yodel AI following those updates and integrating them into the BrandRichland hub.
Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development President & CEO expressed gratitude for the partner support in amplifying regional messaging, stating, “We are excited to get this underway and help better connect our community to the great events going on.”
