BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Police Department led the execution of a search warrant in the 400 block of Charlotte Street on Tuesday night.
Officers were searching for 25-year-old Lloyd Hinton Jr., according to Bucyrus Police Chief David Koepke.
According to a Facebook post by the Marion Police Department, Hinton is the suspect in a shooting at a downtown Marion bar early in the morning on July 29.
Koepke said his department had probable cause to search the 428 Charlotte St. residence.
Hinton was not found and is considered to be dangerous. He is wanted on a warrant for felonious assault in connection with a shooting at Gotham Bar in Marion on Sunday. The victim of the shooting was taken by medical helicopter to a hospital in Columbus for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds.
Koepke said if anyone sees Hinton, they should call 911.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and Special Response Team are assisting in the search for Hinton. A helicopter from the Ohio State Highway Patrol office in Columbus also assisted with the search Tuesday evening.
The Marion Police Department is leading the investigation of the shooting.
