Monday’s arraignments in Crawford County Common Pleas Court weren’t as numerous as in past months, but they didn’t lack for high bonds. Four people had bonds set at $250,000 or more including Jacob Laurence who is being held on $1.5 million bond.

Laurence is the man Bucyrus Chief Dave Koepke tried to apprehend while answering a complaint about a shoplifting incident. Koepke was assaulted and required treatment at Bucyrus Community Hospital. Crawford County Prosecutor Matt Crall said Laurence is being charged with first degree felony robbery. Crall added an assault charge was not added on because of the sentencing law regarding merging felony sentences for offenses emanating out of the same act.

Elsewhere, Tony Gulley’s bond was set at $750,000 for felony 2 drug trafficking and felony 1 engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. Patrick Thompson’s bond was set at $500,000 for felony 4 drug possession and felony 2 engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. Wesley Moore’s bond was set at $250,000 for felony 2 burglary.

Others arraigned on Monday are shown below along with the charges against them and their bonds: Matthew Burkett on felony 5 drug possession ($50,000); Brittany Freeman on felony 5 drug possession (personal recognizance); Joshua Holycross on felony 4 theft ($100,000); Kimberly Hough on felony 5 drug possession ($50,000); David Franklin on felony 5 drug possession (personal recognizance); Curtis Newcome on felony 5 drug possession (personal recognizance); and Daniel Donahure on felony 5 forgery (personal recognizance).
