Boil advisory issued for Bucyrus neighborhood

BUCYRUS — This boil advisory has been lifted.

BUCYRUS — A boil advisory has been issued in the City of Bucyrus.

The advisory is for East Southern Avenue from Sherwood Drive to Whetstone Street, Whetstone Street from East Southern Avenue to John Street, on John Street from Hopley Avenue to Whetstone Street and on the north side of Hopley Avenue from John Street to 1218 Hopley Avenue.

There was a water break in this area and the Environmental Protection Agency requires the city to issue an advisory.

Only people living in the affected area are advised to boil their drinking water until further notice. Water in all other areas of the city is considered safe to use.
