BUCYRUS — The members of Wynford FFA’s soil judging team joined in on the board of education meeting Thursday afternoon to be honored and recognized for its achievements.
Wynford’s soil judging team has made it to nationals for the first time in the school’s history after their first-place finish at the state level competition.
The members are senior Connor Miller, juniors Jodie Jennings and Thomas Weithman and freshman Lexie Wood.
The national competition is April 30 through May 2 in Oklahoma City.
Each member was presented an individual plaque, and a team plaque was given to advisors Tessa Martin and Mike Hoffman.
In other board business, Wynford will also be looking for a new baseball coach, as their coach, Jordan Oliver, has resigned along with Brian Oliver who was the assistant coach.
The next board meeting is Jan. 4 at 5:30 p.m.
