The Bucyrus City Board of Zoning Appeals has scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. in Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of City Hall. The Board is meeting to discuss the following:
- Ronald E. Hurst of Hurst Auto Body 3617 St. Rt. 4, would like to extend the rear parking area an additional 25’ by 95’. They would like to use stone or some similar material for the surface of this parking area versus the hard, durable, dustless surface (asphalt or concrete pavement) as referenced in City’s Ordinance 1189.03 (b). Due to the cost to be in compliance with the City’s ordinance 1189.03 (b), Hurst Auto Body is seeking a variance to the surface requirement of the Zoning Code.
- John W. Maddox of 816 N. Sandusky Avenue, wants to operate property as a counseling center and a residence. The property has lost the legal nonconforming status “Grandfather Clause” for the parking lot. The surface of the lot is now required to be of a hard, durable, dustless surface. Due to the cost to be in compliance with the City’s ordinance 1189.03 (b), Mr. Maddox is seeking a variance to be allowed to maintain the parking area using asphalt grindings or stone.
