During its regular meeting May 22, the Bucyrus Board of Education took the time to recognize individuals from the community who selflessly gave their time and talents to help students in the district. These individuals each received a Certificate of Commendation during the meeting.

“The Bucyrus City Schools is very fortunate to have such a great group of volunteers from the community, as well as the Secondary School,” Bucyrus Superintendent Kevin Kimmel said. “We greatly appreciate the dedication and unwavering support these individuals consistently show for our students.”
Three Elementary students also received commendations from the board for their service as door greeters and their work with Kindergarten students. Those students recognized included:
