Bids opened for the project on July 25. The Board of Control received one bid from Kokosing in the amount of $140,506.50 with an alternate $10,680. The board accepted the bid.

The project will replace part of the airport runway between two hangars that has had drainage issues.

According to Resolution 216-2014, which was passed by Bucyrus City Council on June 17, the project was not to exceed $161,801. The city’s share of the project was not to exceed $16,180, a cost which will be covered by a Federal Aviation Administration reimbursement on the Hord family land donation.
