NORTH ROBINSON — Contracts were a primary focus for the Colonel Crawford Local Schools Board of the Education during its meeting Monday.

A contract extension was approved for Colonel Crawford Superintendent Todd Martin. The extension is effective Aug. 1, 2021 through July 31, 2024.

Board members thanked Martin for his hard work and dedication to the district.

Also during the meeting, the board approved former Bucyrus City Schools teacher Scott Tinnermeier as a fourth-grade teacher for the district. He taught the same grade at BCS.

“It is a pleasure to be here and to become part of the Eagle family,” Tinnermeier said. “Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.”

The retire-rehire of social studies teacher Jeff Dawson was approved after the public notification and a hearing were completed.

The board approved a resolution to participate and authorize META Solutions to advertise and receive bids on the board’s behalf for the purchase of a 71-passenger conventional school bus.

“This is the last one we needed to purchase to replace our entire route fleet,” Martin said.

After receiving three bids, the board awarded the contract for new digital radios for bus drivers and school officials to Bender Communication, Inc.

The next board meeting is Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. with the board touring the school building at 6:30 p.m.
