BLOOMVILLE, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Bloomville United Church of Christ will open its doors to the public this Wednesday for a free community dinner designed to provide both physical and social nourishment.

The event will take place Feb. 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the church, located at 31 N. Marion St. This month’s gathering features a special theme dedicated to honoring local first responders for their service to the village and surrounding areas.

Organizers say the menu will include a variety of soups, sandwiches, chips, and desserts. The meal is open to everyone at no cost, and no prior registration is required.

“Our goal with these dinners is to provide an opportunity for community members to come and get whatever they need, whether it be food, warmth, or fellowship,” said Audrey Naegele, president of the Bloomville UCC Consistory board. “For this dinner in particular, we want to welcome our local first responders to say thank you for all they do.”

The Bloomville UCC has served as a fixture in the community since 1850. While the congregation has evolved over its 176-year history, leadership says the mission of remaining a local “anchor institution” through outreach remains unchanged.

Community members with questions regarding the dinner may contact the church office at 419-561-0244. More information regarding the church’s history and services can be found at bloomvilleucc.org.
