Saturday’s weather provided the perfect back drop for a stroll into the county agricultural past at the Farm Heritage Days at Unger Farm. The Crawford Park District hosted the annual event to highlight how simply surviving was a hard day’s, and often a hard night’s, work.

Crawford Park District Director Bill Fisher explained the importance of having events like Farm Heritage Days.

“Our basic goal of Unger Farm Heritage Day, of course, is to highlight our agricultural background here in Crawford County,” Fisher said. “A lot of kids don’t get to see what grandma had on the farm, and grandpa, because grandma and grandpa don’t live on the farm anymore.”
