Crawford Fair Board Secretary Tom Laughbaum that the Crawford County Fair would receive an extra $22,000 from the Ohio State Racing Association from monies collected from the state’s casinos.

Jerry Agee voiced his displeasure of the motorcycle races to the board citing that the sound from the practices and the race made it impossible to hear his television.
“If it had been a noisy neighbor that was the problem, it would have been taken care of,” Agee said to the fair board. “I see this getting worse over time, and would like to ask that the fairgrounds no longer hold the races.”
The Crawford County Fair Board approved bending the age limit for the Crawford County Fair King title. After it was reported that the contest received no applicants, the fair board approved to lower the age for this year so that the 14 year old Crawford County Fair Prince contestants can be upgraded to Crawford County Fair king contestants.
The return of Madman Mike to the fairgrounds took another step at Wednesday’s meeting with the fair board approving a price to rent the venue for a performance by the stuntman at an undetermined July or August date.
