Decisions, decisions. There are plenty of those to be made today regardless of which party voters in Crawford County and Ohio belong to when they cast a ballot in the March Primary.

Nationally, Democrats and Republicans still see Ohio as a key battleground state and today’s results will go a long way in determining who will be on the ballot for president in November. Today’s ballot will also include candidates for U.S. Senator, 4th District Congressional representative, judges for the Ohio Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, state senator and state representative.

Local races are focused on two county commissioners’ seats and county prosecutor with only Republicans having contested races.

Terry Gribble, Mo Ressallatt and Michael Schiefer are vying for one of the commissioners’ seats while incumbent Doug Weisenauer is being challenged by Jeff Sheerer for the other. In the prosecutor’s race, Bucyrus Law Director Rob Ratliff is challenging incumbent Matthew Crall.

The lone issues on the ballot in Crawford County are limited to approval for Sunday liquor sales at Circle K and an income tax levy for voters in the Ridgedale school district.

Polls close at 7:30 this evening. Stay tuned to WQEL 92.7 and www.crawfordcountynow.com this evening for results of today’s vote.
