The Bucyrus Secondary School is excited to host the College Credit Plus informational meeting on Wednesday, January 27. The meeting will be held in the Bucyrus Secondary School’s Media Center and will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. Students enrolled at Bucyrus Secondary School, and their parents, are invited to attend this event.
The meeting will give a general overview of this cooperative educational program and be presented by representatives from the Bucyrus Secondary School, The Ohio State University at Marion, Marion Technical College, and North Central State College. This program gives students the opportunity to earn college credit before graduation without ever leaving Bucyrus Secondary School. Tuition, fees and the cost of books will be provided at no cost to parents if their child qualifies for the program.
This early college partnership program offers qualified Secondary School students the opportunity to enroll in college level courses for high school and college credit. Formerly called Post-Secondary Educational Options, the Secondary School will be expanding its course offerings for the 2016-2017 school year to provide additional options to help qualified students earn up to 15 hours of college credit.
For more information about the upcoming informational meeting, please contact Secondary School Principal Dr. Mark Burke or Guidance Counselor Winnie Johnson at (419) 562-7721.
