The area of 222 West Mary Street in Bucyrus officially gained a new function on Tuesday morning when Beran Metal Company cut the ribbon to their newly opened doors.
Beran Metal Company is run by Mark Beran and Aaron Daniel and specializes in fabrication, welding, repairs, and sales. The new workshop is a spacious outfit that boasts a large workspace and showroom that features everything from motorcycle parts to decorative bowls and everything in between. Daniel is also a craftsman in marble and stone, and with his talents, Beran features such things as small tombstones, countertops, and other home decorations. There are many different materials that they work with, including stainless steel, aluminum, and, of course, copper.
Joe Beran is the proud father of Mark and helps out in the shop and really desires to see Bucyrus embrace the business.
“We want to make people aware that we’re here,” Beran said. “Mark and Aaron have been doing this for a while but we wanted to get the word out and to get the support of the community.”
According to Beran, there really hasn’t been a place in Bucyrus to get welding jobs done in the past few years since some older shops close, and that’s one of the reasons that Beran hopes to exist and expand that area to let people know that Beran Metal Company does that kind of repair work.
Tuesday served as a grand opening of sorts, complete with a ribbon cutting and statement by Deb Pinion, Executive Director of the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce, welcoming this venture to the community and wishing them all the best as Beran Metal Company hopes to plant even deeper roots in the future.
