A benefit ride is being held Saturday in honor of Bucyrus High School student, Jacie Everett, who lost her life in a jet ski accident a few weeks ago.

According to a Facebook post about the event, Jacie was a gymnast and played many sports at Bucyrus City Schools including basketball, volleyball, track, soccer, cheerleading and more.

Jacie’s mom, Tioni Adkins, is heartbroken over the loss of her precious daughter.

“I miss her so much,” Adkins said. “My chest constantly aches and her face is always in my mind, no matter what I’m doing.”

Jacie’s brother and sister miss her too.

“Jacie was very close to her brother, Ryan, and her sister, Mirium,” Adkins said. “They both miss her so much. Mirium is having a really hard time with this. It breaks my heart so bad to see how much my children are hurting and not be able to do anything to help them.”

The ride will kick off at Bucyrus High School with the first bike out at 10:30 a.m. and will end at the Crazy Fox Saloon, 112 W. Mansfield St., by 4 p.m. A meal, 50/50 raffle, and a Harley Davidson stunt show by Sinister Stunts will be offered and prizes include free oil changes, gift cards for area restaurants, tool sets and much more.

The ride will cost $20 per single or with a passenger, and all vehicles are welcome. The meal will cost $5 and will include a sandwich, chips and baked beans.

Jacie’s mom is grateful for the support she and her family have received from the community.

“We appreciate everything so very much and are grateful for the support from the community,” Adkins said.

Proceeds from the event will go toward a headstone for Jacie. A Go Fund Me account has also been set up at www.gofundme.com/fund-for-my-sisters-funeral.
