The renaissance in the downtown Bucyrus business district continued on Friday morning with a ribbon cutting for yet another new venture on West Warren Street.
Beautiful Bargain Bin isn’t the first foray into the Bucyrus business community for Lorrie Brown. In fact, the Beautiful Bargain Bin at 119 W. Warren is right beside Brown’s other enterprise, Songbird Cleaning Services.
“This brings something new to the community,” Brown said, singing her own jingle for the new store. Brown is also a singer/songwriter and said that she thinks the new business will also provide her more opportunity to pursue her musical interests.
When asked what Beautiful Bargain Bin is, Brown responded with unbridled enthusiasm, “It’s a gift shop!”
It’s all that and more with both new items and those in need of a new owner. From items for décor, such as chimes and indoor decorative birdhouses, to jewelry and even some clothing.
“We’ll be making some unique items in the future,” Brown promised, noting she wanted to build their own birdhouses that would go outdoors.

“My logo is, ‘Find Beauty In Everything’,” Brown said pointing at the store’s window.
Acknowledging she is already busy, Brown said she started the new business because, “Not getting any younger. Let’s just say that. I love what I do.”
Brown anticipates restocking the store every couple of weeks which means patrons will want to check the inventory on a regular basis to see what’s new on the shelves.
“This is just to get started,” Brown said waving a hand on her first day open. “There will be a lot of changes soon. I really want to take off.”
One of things Brown has in the plans for the future includes a catalog. Her website for the new store can be accessed from the one for Songbird Cleaning Services at songbirdclean.com. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The phone number is 419-562-3901.
