BUCYRUS — The staff at First Federal Community Bank in Bucyrus is excited to share with the community the first total renovation the bank has received.

The newly renovated area covers five storefronts along South Sandusky Avenue offering new accommodations for both employees and customers.

New and larger office spaces allow for easier workflow for the staff, offering each department its own space.

For the FFCB customers, new spaces include a renovated four-teller counter, including a line compliant with the American Disabilities Act. The teller counter replaced the counter from 1955.

Customers also may utilize a new 24/7 ATM in the front corridor of the bank.

The ATM is accessible to anyone with an active debit or credit card. A card reader at the front door will enable access to the ATM at any time, even if the card is not with First Federal Community Bank.

A new back door also gives access to additional parking in the rear of the building.

A community conference room also is available for public use with reservations. The room is accessible from South Sandusky Avenue with a key fob given with reservations.

First Federal Community Bank President and CEO Brad Murtiff said he hopes community members, not just current FFCB customers, will come tour the facility during the bank’s grand opening week April 1-6.

He said community members will be offered tours of the bank.

“We want to share the opportunity our board of directors gave us to showcase the work of local contractors,” Murtiff said. “It shows our commitment to the community for the long term and we kept contracting business in Crawford County and Bucyrus, specifically.”
