In just a few weeks, yard sale fanatics will be cruising the roads for the annual Lincoln Highway Buy-Way Sale. For the second year in a row, the Wynford Band Boosters are hoping to draw in a few of those cruising the open road.

Tim Barth said the Wynford Band Boosters Yard Sale started out small last year but he has high hopes for this year. “We only had like three or four (vendors) last year,” Barth said. The Band Boosters had to compete for parking space with a scrimmage game but Barth said this year they will have the entire parking lot for the sale. “We’re trying to grow it,” he explained.

The Band Boosters have spots available for vendors. Vendors can purchase three parking spots for $15 per day, or $45 for all three days of the yard sale. Additional parking spots can be purchased for $5 each.

The Boosters will also be accepting gently used donations that will be sold at its stand during the yard sale. They will be taking donations until August 7. Donors can set up an appointment with Barth to drop off the items or can stop by Wynford High School from 8:00 a.m. to noon beginning August 5 to donate the items.

The money collected by the Band Boosters during the three-day event will help support the Wynford band. Barth said the Boosters’ fundraisers have been able to send the band to Washington, D.C. and Gettysburg as well as taking the larger instruments in for repair.

The Wynford Band Boosters Yard Sale will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on August 8 and 9 and from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on August 10 in the south parking lot of Wynford High School. Food, drinks and restrooms will be available.
