Avita Health System has been making its mark on the local economy in Crestline for some time, and now has made a bigger imprint with its recent purchase of property there.
Last week Avita purchased the former Seltzer Station mini-mall and former Geyer’s grocery store from Geyer’s Fresh Foods. The purchase price was undisclosed.
Although Avita already has office space in the mini-mall for medical providers, the company is planning immediate renovation to develop space for information technology, supply chain offices and training centers.
The former grocery store will become a distribution center.
Initially 20 Avita employees will be relocated to Crestline to the new facilities and more are expected to follow.
