Crestline Village Council received some good news on Monday. Avita Health System, already a major employer and property owner in the Village of Crestline, plans to expand in the village.

Avita CEO and President Jerry Morasko announced Avita’s plans to buy the former Geyer’s grocery store and the nearby strip-mall which is also owned by Geyer’s.

Morasko said Avita’s plans for the former grocery store are to convert it to a storage and distribution center supporting Avita hospitals and other facilities.

Geyer’s corporate offices, a barber shop and Avita occupy the strip-mall. Avita would like to put a training center, conference center and IT department in the remaining space.
