BUCYRUS/GALION/ONTARIO (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW) – January 30, 2024 – Avita Health System is expanding its reach in Richland County with the opening of a new walk-in clinic and medical offices at 24 East Whitney Ave. in Shelby. The facility, which will officially open on February 1, 2024, at 8:00 am, will offer urgent care, primary care, and specialty services.
Jerry Morasko, President/CEO of Avita Health System, expressed his excitement about the new clinic. “Our newest clinic provides a convenient third option for urgent care needs in Richland County, joining our Bellville and Ontario Walk-In Clinics,” Morasko said. “In addition, we will have family medicine, cardiology, urology, bariatrics, OB-GYN, and more to come. Our focus is to continue providing additional access to healthcare services to our newest community.”
The 47,730 sq. ft. property, purchased by Avita in October 2023, has undergone extensive renovations over the past three months. The facility features three medical suites, 18 patient rooms, and is expected to bring approximately 25 new jobs to the area.
Starting February 1, the Shelby Walk-in Clinic will be open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, seven days a week, to provide urgent care services.
