The Crestline Village Council approved the sale of the former Crestline Hospital to Avita Health System for $1 at Monday’s Village Council meeting. Avita has been leasing the building for $1 a year since 2011 with an option to buy the building within five years.
Avita has completely renovated the building at a cost of $125,000 and now uses it for its billing department and record storage. Approximately 80 people now work out of the facility. Avita has future plans for the building that include the possible development of the lower level of the building which could mean even more jobs at that location.
