Avita Health System announced an agreement has been reached with the Galion Community Improvement Corporation on the lease of the former Keller Hall facility. Avita stated that it will move forward immediately with its original plans to construct an outpatient dialysis center.
The project had been held up pending the approval of the Galion CIC.
“I am confident that we will progress quickly now that the paperwork is official. We were able to reach agreement of the language in question and we intend to begin actual building preparations promptly,” said Mari Swearingen, Business Development Director for Avita Health System, in a press release. “We are excited to be able to physically begin work on the site. It’s a little early to project and opening date, but we will be updating the public as we build.”
The issue holding up the lease was reported to be concern over the possibility of the property being used as a residential treatment facility.
