BUCYRUS — After much thought and consideration, the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce is canceling the August First Friday.

“As we all know, COVID-19 has made many businesses and organizations reevaluate how to conduct business and hold events safely,” said Jessie Furner, Director of the Chamber.

She said that in lieu of a traditional First Friday, area residents can join the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce at the Kiwanis Fireworks on July 3, 2020.

“We will have a tent and provide live music by The Hobo Band, food vendors and glow sticks for children attending the fireworks. We encourage families to attend and come early. The band starts at 7 p.m. at the gazebo,” said Furner.

She said more options for family entertainment in Bucyrus this summer include Music at the Mural, Family Movie Nights at Schine’s Art Park and utilizing the incredible Parks District.
