There will be plenty of opportunities for area residents to safely celebrate the nation’s birthday with fireworks over the July 4th weekend beginning tonight with the annual Red, White and Boom in Columbus.
On Saturday, there will be fireworks displays at Ontario High School, the Willard City Park, behind Upper Sandusky High School, and the Red, White Bluefest at Charles Mill Lake Park east of Mansfield.
Sunday fireworks include the Crawford County Fairgrounds in Bucyrus, Heise Park in Galion, Hutson Stadium in Crestline, and the Morrow County Fairgrounds in Mount Gilead.
Fireworks on July 4 can be seen at the Marion County Fairgrounds. Finally, there will be fireworks on July 9 at Skiles Field in Shelby.
