Another brush with the law put Michael Eldridge back in front of a judge and a trip to prison in his future.
The twenty-one-year-old Bucyrus man went before Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Russell Wiseman Wednesday afternoon to plead guilty to a second-degree felony drug possession charge and to admit to his probation violations.
Eldridge admitted to possessing over 100 unit doses of heroin on Oct. 11, 2012.
He was sentenced to four years in prison and credited for 427 days he has served in jail. Once released from prison, Eldridge will be placed on mandatory post release control supervision for three years. His license was also suspended for six months. Wiseman ordered Eldridge to forfeit any drugs or drug paraphernalia evidence being held by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office as well as $4,926 that is being held by the Sheriff’s Office. Eldridge must also pay $200 in restitution to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
Eldridge admitted to probation violations on two previous cases. He had been on probation for a 2010 attempted robbery charge and a 2011 drug possession charge. Eldridge was terminated successfully from probation in both cases.
Michael Croyle is now awaiting extradition to Texas. Croyle, who is facing a felony three controlled substance charge, agreed in Common Pleas Court Wednesday afternoon to be extradited to the Lone Star State. He will await transportation by Texas authorities.
