BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Bucyrus Fire Department will be hosting their annual Toy Drive on Saturday, December 9th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The drive will now be dedicated in memory of Lt. John Schiefer, who played a key role in organizing the event before his passing this year.

Donations can be dropped off at the firehouse or other designated locations in the city prior to the event.

On December 9th, firefighters will collect toys from vehicles as they drive through the firehouse and volunteers will also pick up donated items from businesses with collection boxes.

Participating locations include local Dollar stores and some banks. All donated toys should be unwrapped to ensure they can be distributed according to families’ wish lists and to confirm that they are new. The toys will be given to the Salvation Army for distribution to families in need.
