When Bucyrus police weren’t busy issuing citations for drugs and drunken behavior over the Bratwurst Festival weekend, they were dealing with animals, both domestic and wild.

The weekend got an early start when police helped round up a flock of sheep that had gotten loose Friday morning on West Mansfield Street. Later that evening police assisted a woman on Wayne Avenue who had a bat in her house.

Four people were arrested on charges of domestic violence stemming from three separate incidents over the course of the weekend. Three others received citations for marijuana-related misdemeanors. Nine people were cited for either disorderly conduct or resisting arrest or both.

Three others were arrested as a result of outstanding warrants and one was charged with shoplifting. Bucyrus police also issued one citation for OVI.
