On Saturday, March 28, Colonel Crawford Unit 181 held its 6th annual Patriotic Dinner Show. This year’s recipient was The Battle Buddy Foundation (TBBF).
The Battle Buddy Foundation is a nonprofit foundation that “exists to serve Veterans suffering the Invisible wounds of war, Post Traumatic Stress, and Traumatic Brain Injury.” TBBF pairs veterans with service dogs, and assists veterans suffering from PTSD with the
many challenges they face on a daily basis. The dogs are trained by veterans for veterans and provided to the veteran at no cost.
Kenny Bass, the founder of TBBF spoke of his own personal experiences and what led him to founding The Battle Buddy Foundation.
Attending the event (pictured in the photo, left to right) were Susan Maston, President of the Department of Ohio American Legion Auxiliary; Kenny Bass and his service dog Atlas; and Chrissy Faulkner, Director of Events and Volunteers (TBBF).
Colonel Crawford Unit 181 raised over $3,500 at the Patriotic Dinner Show. Donations can still be made at www.tbbf.org or to the American Legion Auxiliary, 123 E Rensselaer St., Bucyrus, Ohio.
