The American Legion Post 181 family held their annual Chili Cook Off and Make and Bake Auction on Saturday, Jan. 30.
The Chili Cook off was enjoyed by all with $127 raised for the Gifts for Yanks Program.
The Auxiliary’s Make and Bake Auction is an annual event with all proceeds going to those in need in the community. This year $1,570 was raised for recipients Adam Carmen (who lost both legs in a motorcycle accident) and the Jericho House.
At the conclusion of the evening a special auction was held for the honor of putting a “Pie in the Face” of Bucyrus Mayor Jeff Reser and Jericho House advisor Rev. Margie Maddox. The pie in the faces raised $347 for Loren’s Cancer Care Fund.
