BUCYRUS – Past commanders and presidents of the American Legion were honored on Wednesday at the Colonel Crawford American Legion Post 181 on East Rensselaer Street.
According to organizers, the main reason for the event is to honor and celebrate those who have gone before us serving as commander or president of their respective branch of this organization. There was also time taken to remember and honor members who have passed away in the past year with a memorial service.
During the event, a check for $10,000 was presented in memory of past three-time Commander Benny Uhl, who passed away this year.
