The Central Joint Ambulance District met Wednesday night with all eyes on the upcoming transition of service providers. After 11 years LifeStar will make way for Life Support, who will be the new provider.

The transition signing of the contract will take place at a special meeting 5 .pm., Nov. 24 at the Plymouth Street Station in Bucyrus. The actual switchover will happen at 6 p.m. on Nov. 30. This was moved up from the previously scheduled time of midnight, Dec. 1. All parties concerned agreed to this change in times.

As of yet there has been no advancement on the subject of a satellite station in the northeastern portion of the county. Board member Ron Miller indicated that right now those areas are being met with tier two level service, when it was expected to be tier three.

This is a situation the ambulance district will continue to monitor as the service provider changes before a final decision is made.
