During the Central Joint Ambulance District meeting Wednesday it was announced that three townships would renew their contracts with the district. Jackson, Jefferson, and Vernon townships agreed to the three-year contract renewal.
Bucyrus has yet to vote on the renewal, but Bucyrus City Safety/Service Director Jeff Wagner announced to the board, “The renewal is currently in committee, and it should pass.”
After giving a presentation at the New Washington Village Council meeting Monday with other members of the CJAD, Ron Miller announced to the board that the ball is in New Washington, Cranberry, and Auburn townships’ court as to whether they join the district. Miller explained that he hopes to hear more by next CJAD board meeting.
With the possible new editions to the CJAD the CJAD board approved adjusting the contracts which would include a second ambulance building if New Washington, Cranberry, and Auburn Townships sign.
The CJAD Board approved to place a full-page ad in the Township Roster Book.

The next CJAD board meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on April 16 at the Plymouth Street Station.
