BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Altrusa Club of Bucyrus is set to host its Annual Fall Fundraiser on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the Youth Building in the Crawford County Fairgrounds. This year’s event, the 4th Annual Halloween Designer Purse BINGO, themed “A Ghouls Night Out,” promises an exciting evening where attendees can play BINGO to win brand new name-brand purses. The night will also feature raffles and other games.

Altrusa is an international non-profit organization of business and professional women dedicated to community service and promoting literacy among women and children. Recent community projects include monetary donations to Together We Hurt, Together We Heal, sponsoring 4-H awards and scholarships, lighting downtown murals, and distributing books to children at the Halloween Spooktacular.

Proceeds from this event will support a new project to purchase Christmas decorations for downtown Bucyrus. Additionally, funds will continue to support ongoing service projects such as sharing the Christmas spirit with ladies with developmental disabilities at the Garwin Girls Home and the Books and Beyond Project, where members read to kindergarten students and provide them with a book and coordinating stuffed animal.

The Altrusa Club invites the community to participate in the fundraiser, which will benefit various local initiatives. Sponsorship levels include Vampire ($1,000), Frankenstein ($500), Ghost ($250), Jack O Lantern ($100), and Skeleton ($50). Other donation options include designer purses, wallets, gift cards, and items for the silent auction.
