Junior Fair goats took center stage Wednesday at the Crawford County Fair and when it was all said and done, Alana Burkhart had the last word.

Burkhart’s goat was named grand champion by judge Doug Bayless. The reserve grand champion title went to Lyndie Williams.

“The kids did good and cooperated well,” said Chad Gebhardt of the Junior Fair Livestock Committee.

The top Senior Showman was Matthew Hall who will now advance to Friday’s Showman of Showmen competition. Ethan Burkhart also had a big day.

“This year I won the Jury Goat Scholarship for $1,500.00, right after that, I got reserve champion,” Ethan said. “Now I am showing my market goats and hopefully I do well with the one I am holding in my hands.”

Junior Fair goat entries competed on the categories of dairy, meat and market goats. Results of Wednesday’s Goat Show are shown below.
