GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Residents of Galion no longer need to travel far for quality dental care. Since opening Clear Dental in July 2025, Dr. Idiris Ibrahim has made it his mission to provide compassionate, transparent, and patient-centered dentistry to the community.
Dr. Ibrahim saw a growing need for dental services in smaller towns like Galion.
“After conducting a demographic report, it became clear that many local dentists are nearing retirement and younger providers often prefer to stay in larger cities,” he explained. “Meanwhile, patients were driving from Galion to places like Columbus, Mansfield, and Wooster just to receive care. I wanted to help remove that barrier.” His decision was rooted in a desire to improve access to care and support an underserved population.
Healthcare has always been part of Dr. Ibrahim’s life. Raised in Columbus, he was inspired by his mother, a retired midwife, and his sisters, who are both nurse practitioners. Their dedication to serving others helped guide him toward a career where he could make a meaningful difference.
A childhood experience further shaped his path. After chipping a tooth at nine years old, Dr. Ibrahim remembers feeling insecure about his smile until a compassionate dentist restored it along with his confidence.

“I want to be that person who transforms someone’s smile and self-esteem,” he said. That early experience continues to influence the level of care and empathy he brings to each patient interaction.
A Clear Approach to Dentistry
The name “Clear Dental” reflects Dr. Ibrahim’s philosophy of honest communication and simplicity in care.
“When patients visit the dentist, they often hear a lot of jargon that can feel overwhelming,” he said. “We focus on making treatment plans clear and concise so patients understand exactly what they need and what to expect.” This approach helps patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their care decisions.
From routine cleanings and fillings to root canals, dental bridges, dentures, aligners, and emergency care, Clear Dental offers a wide range of services designed to keep care close to home. Dr. Ibrahim also plans to expand into dental implants and traditional braces, allowing even more procedures to be completed locally rather than requiring patients to travel.
Changing the Dental Experience
For many people, visiting the dentist brings anxiety — something Dr. Ibrahim is committed to changing.
“A lot of patients come in with stories about past negative experiences,” he shared. “Our goal is to rewrite that narrative by creating a friendly, trusting environment.” By prioritizing comfort and communication, he hopes to help patients view dental visits in a more positive light.
Known for his approachable personality, Dr. Ibrahim often uses humor to help patients relax. He also incorporates gentle techniques designed to minimize discomfort, including distraction methods during numbing procedures and painless injection techniques for children.
The practice welcomes patients of all ages, and younger visitors are greeted with a treasure box filled with prizes — a small but meaningful touch that helps build trust early.
“Once kids trust you, everything becomes easier,” he said. Establishing that trust early encourages lifelong healthy habits and reduces fear surrounding dental care.
Making an Immediate Impact
What Dr. Ibrahim enjoys most about dentistry is the ability to see immediate results and lasting change.
“Someone can walk in saying they hate the dentist, and within minutes we can relieve their pain or restore their smile,” he said. “It’s incredibly rewarding to change a patient’s perspective.” Those moments reinforce his passion for the profession.
He often compares dentistry to therapy — or even a visit to the salon — because of how dramatically it can improve confidence and overall well-being.
Whether preparing a patient for a wedding, restoring a smile before a family celebration, or helping someone overcome long-standing insecurities, Dr. Ibrahim values being part of life’s important milestones. Supporting patients through those moments is one of the most meaningful aspects of his work.
Growing With the Community
Clear Dental accepts a wide variety of insurance plans, including CareSource, Molina, Buckeye, and many marketplace options. For patients without insurance, the office offers an in-house savings plan that provides discounts on services such as cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
“In communities where finding a dentist can be difficult, every barrier matters,” he said. “We want to make dental care as convenient and approachable as possible.” That commitment is helping expand access to care throughout the region.
Though newer to Galion, Dr. Ibrahim says he has already felt welcomed by the community.
“The people here are incredibly friendly,” he noted. “There’s a strong sense of gratitude and community that you don’t always find in larger cities.” That welcoming spirit has made establishing his practice here especially rewarding.
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Ibrahim enjoys running, hiking, and spending time outdoors. He looks forward to exploring more of what the area has to offer and continuing to build relationships within the community he now serves.
As Clear Dental grows, his focus remains on trust, connection, and high-quality care delivered with compassion.
Clear Dental is more than a new business in town — it is an investment in the health and well-being of the community. With a commitment to clarity, comfort, and accessibility, Dr. Ibrahim hopes every patient leaves feeling valued and confident in their smile, knowing they have a dental home right here in Galion.
